Remnants

While organising my schoolwork and cleaning my room today, I stumbled upon a note which I wrote to myself two years ago. It's comforting to know that the fundamental goals that I had set for myself back then still remain till today. How encouraging it is to realise that I have since taken steps to achieve them.

Over the past two years, I have grown so much as a person. Through certain experiences, I have learnt to make reading a lifelong habit; to open my eyes; to get a clearer view of what is happening around me; to fathom that the world can be a pretty daunting place to live in, but at the same time, it offers beauty in innumerable amounts, if only I know where to search and if I have to courage to leap towards them; to understand why things work as they are, and why the concept of balance takes a pinnacle stance in every aspect of life.

Even as the days pass me by, and I continue to grow, the seeds that God has planted in my heart since I was little are still where they are. They have become an innate part of me, and their roots cling on stronger with time. I hope to sow these seeds every day, with faith, passion and grit, so that I can savour their sweet fruits one day.

In Shaa Allah :)

Pictures:
1: A photo I took on the road while my Dad was driving me home from school on a Friday afternoon.
2: I took it while on the plane as I was flying from Singapore to Siem Reap, Cambodia, last year.
3: A beautiful shot of the clouds that I managed to capture while walking into school one morning. It looks like a seashell in the sky :)
